George Brown College (GBC), with the support of Parkdale Project Read (PPR) will create and test two categories of tools to address the impact of violence as a barrier to acquiring LES. This project will contribute to understanding the needs of adult learners with a history of violence, program change, and increase awareness and resources available for LES practitioners and learners. This project has the potential to address the impact of violence as a barrier on the acquisition of literacy and essential skills in each and every LES program throughout the country, ultimately generating changes in programming and providing concrete tools to learners and practitioners.
